Message from HueLife Team:
Peace is more than the absence of violence, it’s the presence of resilient communities.
Resilience is more than survival, it is the quiet power of people who refuse to give up, who show up again and again for justice, healing, and community. As we reflect on the lives of young leaders from Ukraine navigating war and uncertainty, we’re reminded that resilience is both personal and collective.
In this newsletter, we have gathered resources, lessons learned, and reflections on resilience.
Resilience isn’t something you either have or don’t, it can be developed, strengthened, and passed on. In communities facing war, displacement, trauma, or injustice, resilience becomes more than a virtue, it is a life-sustaining strategy. Whether working with youth, leading change, or supporting communities, here are three foundational strategies to build and sustain resilience, along with actionable ways to put them into practice.
Take your facilitation practice to the next level with Mastering ToP®, a year-long intensive led by certified HueLife trainers. Through immersive learning intensives, hands-on fieldwork, and group mentoring, participants build lasting skills and a strong peer network. REGISTER HERE for the 2026 Cohort beginning in April 2026.
We’re also urgently seeking nonprofit partners in the Twin Cities to host MToP Pro-Bono Action Planning sessions—a chance for your organization to benefit from this powerful facilitation while supporting the next generation of certified facilitators.
Not Easy, But We Move: Ksyusha Lohvinenko on Ukrainian Youth, Resilience & Hope
From Kharkiv’s bomb shelters to Lviv’s youth-led initiatives, Ksyusha Lohvinenko shares how a new generation of Ukrainians is proving that resilience is more than survival — it’s solidarity. In the face of war, they carry one another like steel and concrete, refusing to give up and choosing to create, connect, and lead.
You’ve seen the magic of the sticky wall in action and need it in your facilitator toolkit.
Our Sticky Walls are made of durable and lightweight Rip-Stop nylon. When sprayed with repositionable adhesive, they allow for paper movement without damage.
They are now available in four sizes in four colors: Teal, Blue, Green and Purple. Available Sizes: Jumbo 12'x5'
This month, we are proud to share that the Linda Alton Scholarship Fund has officially launched and already received $450 in contributions.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our first donors: Cynthia Lapp and Mary Kay Delvo; thank you for believing in the power of facilitative leadership and access to training for those in need.
This fund will support individuals developing ToP® facilitation skills to serve their communities during times of transition, challenge, or service.
This summer, 15 Ukrainian teens spent five weeks in Minnesota through our YouLEAD program; building leadership skills, experiencing civic life, and creating lifelong connections. Their journey is best told in their own words and moments.
